Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2026-09-19. These terms govern all purchases from sigsten.org (the "shop"). Swiss law applies; mandatory consumer protection rights of your country of residence remain unaffected.
1 · Scope
sigsten.org sells DRM-free digital audiobooks as downloadable files. By placing an order you accept these terms. The language of the contract is English; the German or French text may be provided on request.
2 · Contract formation
Your order is an offer to purchase. The contract is formed when we accept it — with automatic acceptance at the moment of confirmed payment for card orders, or with our confirmation e-mail for invoice orders. In case of obvious pricing errors on the shop pages we may cancel and fully refund an order.
3 · Payment
Card payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay / Google Pay where available). Alternatively, payment against invoice by bank transfer is possible. Prices are stated in USD and include all taxes applicable to us; as a small business without VAT registration (art. 37 DGSR) we do not charge VAT.
4 · Delivery
Delivery is digital and immediate: after confirmed payment you receive a personal download link on screen and by e-mail. The link can be used up to 5 times and remains re-activatable on request (e.g. for a new device) at no cost via info@sigsten.org. The files are MP3 in a ZIP archive.
5 · Right of withdrawal
Swiss consumers: Swiss law grants no statutory right of withdrawal for consumers. As a goodwill gesture, we refund orders cancelled before the download link has been used, via info@sigsten.org.
EU/EEA consumers: the 14-day statutory withdrawal right of your local law applies. For digital content this right lapses once delivery has started with your explicit consent — which you give by confirming the corresponding checkbox before ordering. You may withdraw free of charge before the first download via info@sigsten.org.
6 · License and permitted use
You receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal, private use of the audiobook: listen on any number of your own devices, keep backup copies. Commercial use, public performance, redistribution, resale and sharing of the files or download link with third parties are not permitted. The works themselves (public-domain texts by Friedrich Nietzsche) are free of copyright; the recordings and their arrangement are protected.
7 · Warranty and liability
We warrant that the delivered files work as described. If a file is defective, contact info@sigsten.org — we replace it immediately. Liability beyond that is limited to the purchase price, to the extent permitted by law. Liability for indirect damages is excluded. Nothing here limits statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
8 · Data protection
See our Privacy Policy. We store only the order data necessary to process your order and meet legal accounting requirements (10 years, OR/DBG).
9 · Governing law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. For consumers with domicile in Switzerland or the EU/EEA, the courts and mandatory protections at the consumer's domicile remain competent/applicable. Business customers agree to the jurisdiction of the courts of Canton Valais, Switzerland.
10 · Amendments and contact
We may amend these terms for future orders; the version at the time of your order applies to you. Questions and complaints: info@sigsten.org. EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
